XBMC4Xbox

is there any way to get xbox live arcade games for the original xbox on it, since xbox live is no longer working i know that i would have to download it, but from where?

This forum doesn't condone piracy so I won't link to them but a pack of all the xbl arcade games was released a few years back so just keep looking and you'll find it.

I have never used 'live' what games were in there?

Surely Coinops would be a better bet?

well in that case would not every single emulator be considered piracy, also i was just seeing where i could get games like astro pop, i only have a demo disc and the games seems cool

You will find these games on Digiex.net forums. There is also a large package od DLCs for Xbox 1 games.

Emulators aren't piracy. Roms with emulators are but not the emulators. I didn't link to them because they are a bit taboo at least here plus they're easy to find with a good google search.

Also a gba emulator with the bios is illiegal for some reason. If it has no bios you are good lol!

I don't really see how any one can consider this piracy. Microsoft dropped the xbox and all support for it. There is now no way to get these games from Microsoft or any of its vendors any more.

So no damage can be done to the company for sharing these games. Remember they washed there hands of the original xbox long ago.

IMHO that goes for all discontinued consoles with no support.

You do realize that companies sell games from discontinued platforms all the time, right? Look at Nintendo's Virtual Console, Sony's PSOne Classics, countless arcade packages, etc. Just because Microsoft is currently not selling these games doesn't mean that they won't in the future. In fact, Microsoft has pretty much done this already with the anniversary edition of Halo for the 360, which includes the original version of the game. If you want to pirate, then I'm not here to stop you, but to say that there's no damage to be done is completely wrong.

We all know what goes on, but the idea is to not flaunt it so openly as it will only lead to banning and worst case scenario, the site being shut down.

Really in plain english is its hypocrisy at the highest level. Support for pirateing movies to the XBOX while looking down on game piracy We ALL KNOW what gets done with a modded XBOX and XBMC why try to hide it? If theres a fear the end result may cause issues then why bother making the original piece of software? 99.9% of us, staff included I guarantee do not have a 100% owned DVD rip collection that they watch with XBMC and Id hazard there isnt anybody running XBMC with a 100% owned collection. Why hide the truth? That just makes it seem sleazy

I wasn't to try to convince anyone not to pirate. My point was that pirates shouldn't try to justify their actions by saying that they're not harming the company. At least own up to your piracy.

Emulators on PC are legal without bios.
But on Xbox every emulator is illegal because of the use of the XdK..........

I guess you missed the news on Open XDK by Caustic. Its a 100% legal alternative to XDK and yes there are emus and apps floating around the net that was done with it. Granted not many as its not as complete as the official XDK, but they do exist.

And to get right technical its a civil offense to release something written with XDK not criminal, hence not illegal. Sued yes, arrested no
