XBMC4Xbox

Her the next Addon Release from me:

PlexMusic.

with this addon you can easy access the Plex Music Libary on xbmc4xbox from a running PlexMediaServer on you PC.
It's working on xbmc4xbox and main xbmc (on mainxbmc it's access the correct Year from a Song and Tracknumber)
The view on the Addon is hard set to mediainfo (ConfluenceLight)


the only what you want its a PlexmediaServer installed and running and Music Albums scanned on the PlexMedia Server Site.

To access the Server you want only the IP Address from your Pc running the PlexMediaserver.
This IP set you on the IPaddress on the Plugin-Settings.
Only the IP this mean as example:192.168.1.20

When you than run the addon:
You have on the Addon Sreen a Artsist Search,AlbumSearch,SongSearch and all the Artsist what you have on Your PlexMediaServer Libary on Alphabetic Order (with Fanart and Cover like this:






The only Problem is that xbmc4xbox can correct access The ListitemLabel for Year and Tracknumber:
But the Bug have i added to RedMine so i hope BuzZ can this Bug fix on the Xbmc4xbox Sources


You can Queve Artists or Albums

Todo:

-adding WakOnLan
-language support (like mainxbmc)
-adding recently added (Plex)
-adding view settings to add the view for your favorite Skin.
-and when the label issue in the xbmc4xbox sources since fixed (duration,Rating, Genre on the album -song view or player)
-parsing the mimetype and give this mimetype to the listitem so the xbmc must not search for the mimetype (i think this make the addon faster)
-adding lxml (to make the addon faster on xbmc4xbox , i hope so)
-Download option to Download a complete Album or Song with Fanart and Cover to your xbox (i want that when i make a xbox working for friends).


Install:
This is a Python 2.7 Addon (xbmc4xbox 3.5 Beta Builds) and is working only on this Builds

to install the addon ftp the zip to your xbox and Install it over the Addon4xbox Installer with install from zip.

For me was the first Version not by every running working (it's stops when it 3 Elements have see but this was for me with the mainxbmcplex addon on xbmc4xbox the same)
I have added the option to set the Mac address and this fix the issue for me.
It's working with every start from the addon.


Have you the solution for transcoding working?

i tink we want to add on the created profiles a working <TranscodeTargets>with the best working VideoProfile Container :

Here is the defination from the Transcode Target :

Transcode Targets
Transcode Targets define the video and photo formats to which PMS will transcode content not listed in a DirectPlay Profile. A TranscodeTarget element contains a VideoProfile element and a PhotoProfile element. The former has container, codec and audioCodec attributes, representing the type of video Plex Media Server should transcode to. The latter has a codec element, representing the type of image Plex Media Server should transcode to.

hi jan

didnt fully test the plex music addon but what i did do all played well. i added my ip address which my plex server was on and it seemed to work (no script errors) however i did only test on the beta 2 build and on no others so far. The mac address was a good idea thlough

As for the plex profile i have got the new xbmc profile using the code i found to be picked up when the xbox used the plex addon. however i still cant get the transcoding to work. much more needs added to the profile such as max bit-rates etc which i simply dont know.

however another user( sirkingchase ) posted the code on the forum which seems to be that same guy as the one i copied off of the plex thread and hesaid that it seemed to play everything however at least for me this is not the case.

Thanks for the info and code for the transcode targets i will try to incorporate it in the profile and test the results. trying to find info for what specific bitrates etc the xbox can cope with is hard to find. Also is there anything else that should be set up on the plugin settings of the xbox plex program most of mine are still at default.
