Back in the game, starting over with a old XBox

I have an old XBox wich i havent use for ages. Main reasons is that it need 220v -> 110v converter. Bit now i have decided to give it to my nieses and nephew. So here comes a few questions.

What is the easiest way to start over? Just start with a fresh build and delete the old one? In that case what is safe to delete?

What is the most kid friendly skin? I dont want the kids to mess up things all the time, so i would like to have it simple. I know about the masterlock, but it would be nice with a kid friendly skin too :)

Any other good hints for this? It wont be connected to the internet, and the movies will be on the internal HDD. I believe it is a 320GB Seagate disc in there.

If you want to update xbmc just rename your old xbmc to say "xbmc old" ( if you use unleashx file manager you can edit xbe names ) download, unpack, and copy the new xbmc to your hdd. and enjoy both

Not my kids, but my sistets kids :)

They are alot outside, but they love some movies too. They comer here lend dvds all the time, but they often get broke. Ripped movies would be great :)
