Hi There have been testing out 3.5 beta 2, my dvd straight rips, I think mpeg2 format no longer play off my hard drive. The screen goes grey and cpu goes 100%. Works fine in 3.3.3 Thanks for your time.

You've got a lot of playback errors and it appears you've got a broken DVD rip - does it play ok on PC sau with VLC? How did you "rip" the DVD, what did you use?

Hi Dan Dar3 I used dvd shrink its basically a straight conversion minus menus and xtras included in dvd. All dvd rips work fine in 3.3.3 so have went back to that version

If you have a file that played in 3.3.3 but not in 3.5 beta 2 - please provide an example file and upload to ftp://aero.exotica.org.uk/incoming naming it with your username and I will have a look. Nobody has say that xbmc4xbox is compatible to main xbmc.
And that is not a Bug .
we handle on xbmc4xbox the addons over a emulations Layer (scriptmodule.xbmcaddon)
And not all will work with this solution .
Buzz is working on a addon branch for xbmc4xbox.
When this branch is releaced we since a little bit more compatible to mainxbmc on the addon site, but all is step to step.
when you look here on the Site you can find reply's from me for adappting addons from mainxbmc to xbmc4xbox.
That can help, when you read this.
Please open not different Threads for one Problem.

I had the same problem with DVD movies in the hard drive.

Settings -> Videos -> Playback

- turn on DVDPlayer fast mode for MPEG2/ MPEG4/H264

I didn't need to do that before Beta 2, but now I do.

I just tried a regular dvd in dvd drive and it has the same problem black/grey screen cpu through the roof

Same problem at first try
System/settings/video/playback/DVDPlayer full codec support
It worked for me. If it maters I do have 128MB ram?

i am facing similar issues with mkv/x264 bdrips which all played perfectly with version 3.3 (not 100%sure)

Xphazer, got it, removed it and found solution in the meantime. i downloaded a bad build from an unusual place got good build in the meantime and all is working fine. thanks guys
