XBMC4Xbox

im new here and after some help and guidance.
i have finally managed to soft mod using splinter cell exploit and got xbmc an Zsnexbox up and running thanks to Whufclee`s tutorials.
what i want to know is what is possiblle gaming wise from an xbox with only having an 8gb hdd,

There's a new Mame version 1.1 its pretty descent doesn't have video game previews so that should fit on your 8gb hdd

An early version of coinops is about 5 gig so that will easily fit on a stock hdd and has over 1000 roms.

There's a specific "Lite" version of Coinops 5 which fits on a std hard disc. If you delete a few of the larger game videos you can also fitt XBMC4XBOX on there too.

Place the coinops folder into your game or emulator folder.

winrar wont extract can anyone recommend what might work

7Zip - but if the file is a RAR archive and WinRAR won't work then there's a good chance your download is corrupt.

how would i be able to tell if im downloading non corupt files or is it just trial and error

There is no way of telling in advance - I'm not aware of a website anywhere that says "this file is corrupt, don't bother downloading it"!!

If it is corrupt there is more chance that the download went wrong. Just try again.

i should also learn to be more specific

Rarzilla just worked for me , i would try that before downloading again as its a biggie be warned it takes ages to extract though .

If you do have to start again I used megaups.me the official site and it came down very fast 1.6 meg at one point .

thanks im trying the download again as before if that dosn`t work ill try your suggestion

Just re read the thread an I see you are using the lite version , that shouldn't take too long to extract ...good luck

Sorry - I was a little pointed there! In my defence, I was waiting for the Sunderland - Man United highlights to start on the BBC, and getting a bit nervous. The match didn't improve my tension at all - in fact it made me worse. Still, all over now, and the right result .... eventually!!
