[Solved] Chimp directory help

I am using Filezilla and need to add Chimp in the Xbox so I saw a youtube video and here is the structure that didn't work for me when to black screen:
E:/Chimp
E;/linexuboot.cfg
E:/Apps/Xromwell
So I tried to move Chimp into Apps directory and did get the screen to upgrade the hard drive:
E:/linexuboot.cfg
E:/Apps/Chimp
E:/Apps/Xromwell
is this correct or am I missing something I just want to upgrade the hard drive with Chimp and hope for the best.
thanks.

E:/Apps/Chimp
E:/Apps/Xromwell
E:/linuxboot.cfg
This configuration is correct providing you keep that stuff on E: I can verify to you that Chimp will work from those settings in the directory tree. Happy cloning and swapping!
*Edited file listing for accuracy.*

Okay. Here's the skinny on it. You have the correct directory tree. How to use chimp...
You may have a 1.6, and are trying to use the wrong chimp. This one works on all. Download and extract it.

Due to a recent piece of information, only run this once you have connected the regular Xbox COMPOSITE cables (Yellow, red, white). Otherwise, it is a pain in the ass, and with them is much easier.
1. Make sure you have the files.
2. Make sure you have an official MS XBox controller. Not 3rd party.
3. FTP files from PC to Xbox.
4. Reboot XBox.
5. Make sure chimp actually loads up.
6. Power off Xbox.
7. Open XBox case.
8. Make sure HDD2 has it's jumper pin set to slave.
9. Make sure HDD2 has power in some way. I use a molex splitter.
10. Double check 8 and 9. Better safe.
11. Power on XBox.
12. After your dash loads, pull IDE cable from DVD drive and place into HDD2.
13. Go to chimp.
14. Select the fatX icon (Blender)
15. Select the top option of chimp. Ignore the 480p and 720p. This way just works.
16. option 1. Make sure it detects both drives. Scroll through. MAKE SURE.
17. option 2. Choose yes. Clone FULL disk.
18. Get a sandwich. May be a few minutes.
19. Go back to menu. Choose option 3. I always tell it from motherboard. Works for me.
20. Power off xbox.
21. Test new HDD with case open. (Remember to plug IDE cable back into DVD drive, and to set your new HDD jumper back to master).
22. Finished.

I just realized I may have given bad info in 2nd post of thread. The file in E:\ is linuxboot.cfg, not linexuboot.cfg. sorry for any confusion... Chimp and Xromwell are still supposed to be under E:\Apps\ though.

thanks for the Chimp download (LUD.rar unzipped became LUD.iso) I unzipped the ISO file and it only has:
default.xbe
initrid.gz
linux24
lunux26
linuxboot.cfg
that is it, not chimp or xromwell directory did I do something wrong again?

Changed link. The link below is Chimp directly copied from my xbox. There is a readme.txt file in there after you extract the download. Read it and follow exactly. These work, as I just got into chimp before clicking send.
Just click this link below, and download. Then extract it. Follow instructions in the readme.txt, and my instructions above. If this doesn't work, then I dunno.

Please don't get mad here I am trying so here is what I see/have:
In the rar file this is what I am seeing:
default.xbe - path Apps\Xromwell (so does that mean E:\Xromwell\)
default.xbe - path Apps\Chimp\E\Apps\Xromwell (don't know where?)
intrd.gz - path Apps\Chimp\E\Chimp (I believe that means E:\Apps\Chimp)
linux24 - path Apps\Chimp\E\Chimp (I believe that means E:\Apps\Chimp)
linux26 - path Apps\Chimp\E\Chimp (I believe that means E:\Apps\Chimp)
luinuxboot.cfg - no path shown (I believe that means E:\)
linuxboot.cfg - path Apps\Chimp\E (don't know where and I don't have this in my current Chimp that is what could be wrong)
your instructions.txt in E:/default.xbe I have all the files you say to copy and paste if it's not there.
sorry thanks.

If it's in the apps folder I sent, put those in the E:\Apps folder.
If it's not, put it in E:\ itself.
Not getting mad. If I am inferring that I am, I apologize. I'm just kind of a direct guy.

Jerry, if I may ask, did you delete your old chimp before installing the files I gave you? Last idea that I have is to delete both versons of chimp (your old and new) from your xbox HDD. Including the E:\Apps\Chimp and E:\Xromwell folders. Then install Chimp again with my files.
Your final option is to burn a copy of Slayer's 2.98 disc and use it's HDD clone program. This program uses idot's program that chimp uses anyway. Other than that, you're going to have to learn to use xboxhdm.
You have exhausted my knowledge on this subject if these do not work. Good luck.

Hang with me for one more try I deleted all chimp there is no 2 Linux so look at the directory and files in the directory I might have one two many linuxboot.cfg:
E:\linuxboot
E:\Apps\Xromwell\default.xbe
E:\Chimp\
default.xbe
intrd.gz
linux24
linux26
luinuxboot.cfg
Does this look right? If so I will try one more time then I will find the other programs or take it to someone that will do it for me, the hard drive is Western Digital WD2500BB. BTW thanks for sticking with me.

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. As a curiousity, what is your resolution set to on the TV through XBMC's settings? Also, how do you have it hooked up? Finally, when trying to run Chimp, have you already hotswapped the hard drive?
