I have split the topic as it wasn't really related to the previous one.
What are you skills codewise ?
instructions for compiling can be found on the wiki -

Of course, and you're welcome! You can contribute with patches, you can see the last two tickets I've opened / updated, submitting patches, that would help Buzz to commit the changes.
You can pick existing tickets from Redmine, work locally and submit patches / fixes yourself.
There are a few areas, which require different skills, like:
[*] XBMC4Xbox application itself - C++
[*] internal Python scripts or skin scripts - Python
[*] skins - XML
[*] web interface - JavaScript, HTML, Ajax
or even contribute and maintain the wiki (non programming).
I'll let Buzz take it over, just wanted to mention from my perspective.

Not to hijack a thread, but I'd also love to help. I work full time as a gfx/web designer (HTML5,AJAX,WordPress, PHP, phpBB...) and am a quick learner. Currently I'm working on
improving the web interface and porting a Pandora Radio script to work with Xbmc4Xbox with denimjeans (a member here). I've been tinkering with Xbmc on my own for a while now but never got involved in the community. If there's some stuff I can help with I'd love to contribute.

there is really no plan, and I don't have time to make one. But there is information for example on the forum not on the wiki, and if you compare our wiki to xbmc you can see we lack in many ways. I would be very happy for someone to project manage it, so long as you have good mediawiki skills and knowledge to do so. It's somewhat thankless work - you will receive lots from me and some others, but in general. but I think that is the nature of the beast - those that find the information they need go away happy without telling you, those that don't come and complain
