XBMC4Xbox

As some of you may know, 1 channel has been down and there is a temporary fix for it using the XBMC hub maintenance add-on but as we all know this is none existent for xbox. Now what this fix does is change the host from [removed].ch to letmewatchthis.ch works just the same as [removed].
To do this on xbox you need to open the default.py in note pad and hit "Ctrl+H" for the find and replace feature. Under find put "[removed].ch" and under replace put "letmewatchthis.ch" Then hit replace all. For me there was only two instances of [removed].ch. That's it now ftp the default.py to the [removed] add-on directory and watch your shows and movies. I recommend backing up the original default.py so that when the [removed] site starts working again you can just swap and use 1channels site.
Maybe someone already knew about this and this is old news but I thought it wouldn't hurt sharing.

UPDATE: The newest build of [removed] in the A4X installer has this already done, so save your self sometime and just download it there.

where is this note pad at on the pc or the xbox itself ..im still learning all this, i go to my xbox and hit notepad im not sure where that is...or i go to notepad on my pc and do it

Sorry I should have been more clear. I am referring to the notepad on Pc. You will have to ftp the file from your xbox to your Pc and then back once you are finished. If there's anything else just ask away as I am not the best at explaining things.

the [removed] addon in our addons4xbox repository has since been updated with a newer version (since the original post) and does not need modification.

no thanks. threads don't get removed just because they are out of date - if you like you can update the first post to say to use the latest version though or something.
