I have a few HD/component cables(only anloug audio,Red/white) for the Xbox, and was wondering if anybody hsa wired a SPIDF out. Was thinkinking I could just unsolder say the red and resolder on correct pin for digital audio. Or would I be better off just wiring a plug right off the MoBO.I'd perfer the first cause I'd like to do this to 3 or 4 of the cables I have.

Should be a snack if you know what your doing along with these two pics to help........

You may need to have a link soldered in so the chip know what sound signal to output. Not real sure about sound but with video a link is required to enable the correct video you need. See how you go and if you have issues, I look a little deeper.
