btw the addons.xml and md5 is generated from a python script. the md5 isn't check currently I think, but you can use this script to generate them if an addon version/dependency etc has been updated

We were not missing any dependencies for icefilms, you already had them all there, I just put all the imports into the main addon.xml required by icefilms, it was missing the pysqlite2 and xbmcvfs imports the first time I tried it

Navi-X - doesn't need many dependencies, we already had them there

and Free Cable I did not add dependencies yet,

I think we should add the rest of the the missing script.modules you have in your build, but I don't know if any of the existing ones in this repo have been changed


I have tested many of the Video plugins from xbmc.org repo, (Z-G) I started at the bottom, Almost all of them do install but I have to find out what ones work,
These did not install, I still need logs for why, I will post them when I finnish the testing of this Video addons section

From memory I believe you just install python 2.7 on your system and then run this little script and it auto generates the files.

Great problem is the scriptmodule.freecable it has the database for freecable addon on it !
And from Time to Time the Developer updating only the database (scriptmodule)
I found that is a very fucking solution!
i hat the addon i on my build changed that the database is under database !
But the problem is that the first generation from this database will cost most time and this is the base while the developer the generated database put as scriptmodul!

All the scriptmodule on my Jan'sxbmc4xbox build since working but i must have a look on the versions number for newer releases!
When it give a newer release i update this scriptmodule!

you must not look on the video sektion for the xbmcswift addon this addon will all have the neweste scripptmodule xbmcswift 2
Dersphere hat make a fork for this but the fork works on my last jansxmc4xbox build but not on the newest nightly !

i have all addon changes on my brain (i understand on svn is better) but i look for newer versions from the scriptmodule !
When main xbmc change from Eden to Frodo i think it give many new versions!

Ok sounds good, do what you need to do to update them,

I did get the Free Cable working by removing the <import addon="script.module.free.cable.database"/> from its addon.xml , not the best solution but it works, feel free to fix it if you can

Oh did you try out the "addons_xml_generator.py" yet? You will notice that you only need to change the addon.xml inside the addon folder then go up and run the generator it will copy what is in each to the main addons.xml
Only small problem I found was not all addons have all the imports, just watch for that, Free Cable did not have the pysqlite2 in the addon.xml

Need to be careful some addons might install and work if the modules have been installed with a different addon, But might error if it is installed on a new build with not all modules installed yet

for me works adapted on my xbox but not over the addons4xbox Installer install!

Crackle2 is on the newest nightly to not working!

my test solution is so i adapt the addon delete the addon and the dependencies !
Install it with the addon4xbox Installer and test it works!
Then i delete all the dependencies from the addon and the addon self (only this what come with a standart xbmc4xbox install is then on the scriptmodule)
I make a restart!
then i go to test the next addons or adapt the next addons!

tomorrow i look on jtv and the last filmon addon

And test all again!

on FilmOn i think we have a prolem with the urllib2 from python 2.4

we have it when you login and will record or watch what you have record (403 forbiden error )what i on main xbmc not have
we have to the same problem we the Raspberry Pi with this addon (410 gone error)

Hi i think we have a problem with the latest nightly a adapted addons or scriptmodule works on the stable but not works on the current nightly!
I can the error not locate!

as example install from the addon4xbox installer crackle2 it works with the stable build and with the nightly from my last build (31450) but not with the newest nightly!
i think it have what to do with the changes on the source to access the profile (master user)!

I was experimenting a little bit today with a couple things, I ran the xml_generator and it added your jtv and filmon to the main list, so I changed their addon.xml to addon.xml.off to prevent them from showing in the list to public until you work on them again, all you need to do is rename them to addon.xml then run the xml_generator again and it goes public, I think you know this

I'm not going to do much on this today,

I think some of the problems from the latest nightly might be from inside the xbmcaddon.py that is a little different from stable, but we'll see what buzz has to suggest on this,

as this stuff is in development and I need to test, please don't disable anything - renaming files temporarily is not a good practise really on svn also.

anything that is not working but shoudl be due to xbmc4xbox version can be looked at when I get a free moment.

Ahh right, so since its in development and end users have been pre-warned of this, its at their own risk if something is not yet functioning for them, best to leave it all as is, I see how it could create problems, addon.xml's reverted back to normal

well I don't think any end users will be using this without risk anyway. its all in development and not for general consumption - if users want to try it though then fine, but I think its fair to have it in dev. We could do with a stable branch perhaps which we can merge to. once its being used by the masses that will be an easier way to manage it.

Ok small problem for me, when we add a script to the repo does it need to be in a dir like script.scriptname or plugin.script.name with matching addon id in the addon.xml, Im having a problem with a script launching as its trying to look for the wrong adddon id from what I can make of the debug log
