I did this but I still have the same problem with videos not playing full screen.

What you mean with Fullscreen ! Have you the Video on Backround or Fit the Video not the Screen?
When it not fit the screen you can switch to Fullscreen when you press the Y on your Controller!

The Fix it default.py works with the 1 Channel Version on my last Jan'sXBMC4XBOX!

I want to play videos in fullscreen without having to press Y on the controller (this is the only plugin that requires pressing Y on the controller to switch to fullscreen).

I think its this one you want, because [removed] crashes before loading the movies up andI had to restart the xbox, so the old log,

I also deleted the old folder and downloaded the latest version again and ftp`d it across to the xbox

Does the one you posted automatically make videos display in fullscreen without having to press Y on a controller? Do you have a file you can upload?

I use a Harmony universal remote controller (and the XBMC4XBOX android application for when I need a keyboard)

Brilliant thank you buzz, I changed it from 1080 to 720 and all is fine again, just wondering if Jan could disable 1080 and for people who want to try 1080 they can select it, I'm guessing most people on here run 720 and below.

oh you were running in 1080? no wonder. there just isn't enough memory for that unless you want to go with the simplest of skins and features.

I need to add a setting so when 1080i is chosen in the gui a big warning is displayed, and perhaps even disable it in the gui altogether and make it an "advanced setting"

Yeah I didn't realise, but every time I reboot the Xbox it reverts back to 1080, is there any scripts I can alter to disable it all together?

Is this version more hungry on memory and CPU? When I'm trying to play a 720 film my CPU goes to 100% I never had that problem before and it doesn't keep my video settings when I reboot but it does if I just restart, just wondering if its a bug or my Xbox.

I have the new xbmc installed on my xbox, but want to try this jan's EnglishXBMC4XBOX V2.1 How do I install it? Do I FTP it and rename it XBMC and rename the my original xbmc ' xbmc 2 '' please help? very interested in this build

ok it is not version 2.1 it is version Jan'sxbmc4xbox before stabe 3.3

yes !
ftp the zip to your xbox and unpack it with the filemanager (press a over the zip and you have a new directory copy this on the same drive we your old xbmc)
start the new xbmc with the default.xbe
go to the filemanager and rename the old xbmc to xbmc2 as example!
go in the xbmc2 and start the default xbmc!
rename with the filemanager my new xbmc to xbmc !

I'm really lost trying to find where I can modify the settings for urlresolver. I am not able to run ANY of the scripts so far, but I haven't been able to make the changes for urlresolver so that might be the problem.

when i rename jans xbmc to xbmc and the old one to xbmc2 i get the ms dash when i try to boot xbmc from unleashx, but when i change back to the old xbmc as xbmc i boot straight to xbmc from unleashx. i enter jans xbmc through file manager and then default.xbe. what am i doing wrong why cant i boot to jans xbmc from unleashx or make it my dash by default?

happy with the build it seems to be running fine no problems so far except maybe the cache full problem when trying to load a movie, im reading on how to resolve.

Jan it won't let me rename the file when I tried pressing a nothing happen but when I press the white button on controller, the option to rename file appears but when I try to rename it and then press done it not renamed, and I don't see a option to save as, so I just think you press done on the small keyboard that pops up.

You can't rename a running dash, so if you're trying to rename xbmc whilst running it STOP RIGHT THERE!

Boot into an alternative dash such as evox/unleashx/avalaunch and then you can rename the folders. I personally find it easier to rename them when ftp'ing from the PC but you can do it in the xbox filemanager if you prefer. If you watch the video tutorial on "updating via ftp" that will show you step by step how to do this without messing anything up. Good luck

Has any one figured out how to have videos from [removed] play fullscreen without having to press the X button?

Also, I use Confluence skin, and for some reason, videos that I have already watched do not have a check mark next to them. Any ideas?
