Psychotron have you PC?
When yes, please install main XBMC on it (Eden)

you must have a internet on Pc!

Than install this Pandora script on your XBMC on Pc go to system /settings /addons and install from zip andinstall the downloadet script
Is install Finish go to Musik / musik addons and make the settings (you login)
And run it
Say works or not!

I followed each and every step all the way to transferring over the script.xbmc.pandora folder from XBMC Eden (which contains a settings.xml file) to XBMC4Xbox and still ended up with "Failed to authenticate listener". The provided Pandora script https://dl.dropbox.com/u/83714583/xbmc- ... pithos.zip worked fine on Eden. My error log doesn't match with previous testers though

To me the problem looks like the pandora.py

I installed it into Eden for PC then copied to xbox.
This does Work on PC !!

I already went through the entire process (step by step starting from the OP to Round 3 of pandora.py in that exact order) up until the testing stopped between Jan and psychotron approx July 18. The log I posted reflects the very last change.

I Look but i think ist the same on The old Main xbmc Dharma to (Python 2.4 - Eden have Python 2.6)
What for configuration have you on your PC xbmc Eden or Dharma?
On the xbox we have python 2.4!
And when it on Dharma not works is it not a syntax Problem from Python 2.4 to Python 2.6!
Then its a Problem from Python 2.4 self!
Plese copy your settings from your working pandora Plugin on your pc to q/ userdata (i have not look on moment)
plugins/ music pandora - then make a restart and look its works for the moment or you have a nother error on the Log!

I have the latest XBMC Eden on my WinXP Pro test PC. The Pandora script provided earlier in this thread worked fine on the PC as previously noted by all 3 testers. The log I posted above reflects the third copy of Pandora.py, updated mechanize module, and the script folder (containing settings.xml) directly from XBMC Eden, restarted Xbox....exactly as instructed to psychotron back in July . If you'd rather we start over from scratch to clear all the confusions, then I'm all for it.

I copied everything over from working Eden on PC win7 to xbox but get a script error.

Then I replaced the pandora.py file from my last post and get the "Failed to authenicate Listener"

pastebin of error is listed above.

How can we help you determine or solve issue?

yes what you have do was my old adapted pandora and is was not working !
is was my adapted mechanize and other !
i have look on debug log again it is same error when i will login with youtube addon !
it can not complete read the informations and login not works but i think this is a python problem from Version 2.4!

Does this mean Pandora will never work on XBMC4Xbox?

i think on moment no go - but i hope it come the time that buzZ change to a newer python version !
But for a integrated version from higher python as version 2.4 we have no example , the last running integrated version on main xbmc is 2.4 . on Dhama!
That what we have to.
it give on www a patch for a intgreated newer python as 2.4 for xbmc on linux but i think it was never run!

Greetings everyone. Give this Pandora script a try. All the credit for this script goes to spbogie and newatv2user over on the xbmc forums. They created a great script and I just made a couple of workarounds to get it running on the xbox.

Download:

To install just download from the link above and unzip to your computer. Then FTP the file over to your xbox and place in q:/scripts/. Launch from the scripts menu and enjoy.

A couple of things to note:
1) Keep the audio quality set to "low"
2) I believe that Pandora can only be accessed in the US. However anyone outside the US should be able to use the proxy settings to make it work. I have not tested this so I cannot confirm that it works.
3) I have noticed that occasionally a song will stop midway through playing and then skip to the next song. I will look into this more when I have more time.

I will do my best to help with any questions and also try to maintain the script, however I am new to python and have much to learn. Thanks to skatulskijean for his great work with the tutorials, I think that gave me the push I needed to start digging into these addons. Now go on and test it out...
