Servox, I don't think you've seen the whole picture. It's not about the 40way ATA ribbon cable retainer, it's an additional clip for the power cables.

Came across something I haven't yet. I've cleared the jewel on around 10 xboxes and this is a first for me. the green paint seem to be the same thickness but the extra off white paint adds to the time it takes to get the paint off. damn you OEM!

oh and i did see the power cable clip by opening the pic in it's own page. yes that is different. never seen that before and I've opened quite a few boxes.

This is the first time back to this thread and you guys are right! This is like drugs to me. I cant stop and I buy atleast 1 or 2 xbox consoles every week. I will be on ebay looking and if I see a buy it now for a console with a X3 chip and if it is under 100 USD I will grab it for sure. This is worse then crack! I have more then 40 consoles here right now in pieces. As soon as they come in I take them apart to see what is inside. But I do not buy consoles that do not have mod chips. That is my weakness! My mod chip collection is crazy! I have more then 50 different mod chips without duplicates.

At some point I am gonna build some consoles with the spare HALO green cases and the crystal clear cases and sell them off. Do not get me wrong I do sell them off now but I usually upgrade the RAM first and make them into killer consoles and then sell them off. My master plan is to have all the major mod chips ever made and to have at least 1 of each color console with a different 4th Gen mod chip. I have all 4 of the X3CPs and that was a hard thing to get. These days they are so rare! After I put some of these machines back together I will take pics of them.

I am looking for a X-chip and the X-chip lite if you guys have them!

The screwhole of the tray is on the same spot as the eject button of the XBOX.

Found one of those hard drive caddies with the power cable holder. I'm in the UK BTW :)
Top right hand corner, you may have to zoom out your browser to see it.

I guess you noticed the "DEFECTIVE PART" sticker on the DVD?
This is strange as the console hadn't been opened, I broke the seals to undo it!
Even stranger is the DVD drive works just fine :? Although I cleaned the inside, the lens and the eject belt anyway :)
So do you think Microsoft repaired it?

I have a brown cable for the dvd and it has a white plug on one end and a black plug on the dvd end is that normal?

the power eject board also has a black plug with brown/white wires on it i have never taken much notice until I come across this thread and noticing the white cables are odd.

halo orange xbox anyone?

It is legit microsoft case not an aftermarket case it is said lots of colour tests were done and a few of the plastics plant employees kept a few most went to scrap.

The engineer that made this said there were 30 made of this orange colour and there are a few out in the wild possibly up to 30 but most have probally been gobbled up by microsoft employees.

Don't know if this is a uncommon part or not but I've never seen one. A Samsung power supply.
