How's it going guys! Been using XBMX for a long time now. First post on here though. Here is my Xbox in stages:

It is hard-modded with an X3 chip. Started with the orange/white paint job and chrome biohazard on the jewel. Had lights behind the jewel at one point but took them out. Swapped Power/Eject buttons, then moved the now power big button to the middle of the biohazard symbol with orange lights. The blank space above the eject button bothered me so I decided that was the perfect spot for the DVD dongle lens. The lens itself fit into the clear piece that forms the ring of light, so fit perfectly into that hole where the big button used to be. Looks factory to me! Then I added the X3CP and that's where it's been for about 6-7 years now. It now resides in my 2 year old son's room and he uses it to watch movies at night when he goes to sleep.

I so want to get another and do a Slim mod, but we will see how that goes haha!

Love this site and glad to see I'm not the only one still getting use from the ol' girl!

That sir is a fantastic XBOX. :o Your idea for the power button there was fantastic, how did you wind up splitting the power and the eject buttons? Your son is a lucky kid to have such a killer machine, I bet he would just laugh at a stock black box now.

Thanks! I love it, and so does he.

For the power button on top I bought a second power/eject pcb and switched the wires so the button on top went into the pcb in the front.

Latest but not the greatest. Happy with the way the color scheme turned out. Nothing special just a painted slim, used the Gun Metal hammered finish paint with red accents.

Gee, there both sweet machines. Funny how there near negatives of each other. Be nice if you have the tray cover to finish that one DemonLady. No wonder he is your Ex aye. Nice job as always Net. I really need to get something happening with my red machine. Could be a month of "Reds".

Ok here's my effort..lol not very spectacular, but hey it's Christmas and I though I`d decorate my Xbox ;)

The silver wire is a round IDE cable with a red LED coil. Even though I took the picture in the dark the camera flash lit it up too much to see properly :(

That's a pretty cool idea Nidge, add some green and white led's in there and you've got christmas in an xbox.

I'm trying to find a way to re-route the LED coil, but it's not really long enough to go anywhere else :(
I had to connect the system cable to the DVD, the slave to the board and the master to the HD to make it reach, and alter the jumpers on the HD, but it still works :) Any thoughts and ideas are welcome :P

@Nidge- change the LED's on your power/eject button to White/Red and then maybe wire up a few green LED's and mount them under the DVD drive or something like that to give the green glow from inside the box.

I have always wanted to know if you could mount the remote sensor inside the case on a clear somewhere on the front and have it still work :/

That jelly will eventually gunk up the drive. (supposedly) i use it for rubbiks cubes in desperate situations and it doesnt play nice with plastics.
