Please, could you tell me which brand and/or type of a silent FAN I can use for the xbox?
So I can search for it if it is available.

Re: Silent Fan
I'm a big fan of [ur=http://www.ebuyer.com/138590-xilence-re ... -xilence80]these[/url] (no pun intended!).
As they're 80mm fans they do require a little trimming around the fan casing, the HDD caddy and the RF shielding but when you have them in there it makes it all worth the effort. I honestly can't hear mine even with my ear close up to the xbox and they seem to do a good job of keeping the old girl cool too.

WOW, that one looks nice.
Nice color also.
By the way, it was because of your website I ask this question. LOL...
Does it matter on which version of xbox you can use the fan?
I think maybe the v1.6 are a bit noisy than the others.
You said you have to trim it a little. But will it click on the sides?
Could you place a photo of a trimmed one?

Re: Silent Fan
Xbox version will not matter when your choosing a new fan, any 80MM will work well just make sure you
get one that suits your needs and looks good with the xbox. You do have to trim the corners of the fan
to make it sit and fit into the xbox neatly, also you'll have to cut the hard drive caddy to allow the newer
and bigger fan to fit behind it as the stock fan sits behind and under the caddy.
Great tutorial here: http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Xbox%2080mm%20Fan%20Mod.htm

Re: Silent Fan
You can use a smaller fan but it would not be needed unless your going slim, i recommend 60x25mm.
