Hit the button on the receiver and then hit the white button on the controller to see if it sync's up. That's the only way i've been able to get them back and working. Also make sure another controller (Logitech Precision) is not trying to compete with the signal, if so then do the above method on both controllers.

Possibly so but not common from my experience. Pop the controller open and see what it looks like.

No signs of battery leaks in the battery compartment?. That is very common.

You tried it with an other receiver?
Strange problem though!

I got a couple of Logitech Wireless controllers. Let me know if you are interested.

Sorry to bump an old thread but if anyone is finding this page through google or searching the forums, you might try this:

When my logitech controller started doing this, I noticed that I could unplug my memory unit and plug it back in and then it would connect to my controller. This worked every time. I'm not sure why it did but I always just kept a memory unit in the receiver for this reason after a certain point. It's not a fix per-say, but I've been doing it this way for years now.

Did you ever figure out the solution to this other than plugging in a memory card? I bought a Logitech Wireless controller and have the same issue. The red light on the controller stops blinking, making it seem like it's paired, but the receiver continues blinking. Only the vibrate button works; pressing any other buttons produces no input on the Xbox.

Some of the things I've tried so far:

-Taking it apart and cleaning all the contacts
-Checking the solder joints, I've attached an imgur link below of the board
-L + Start to re-calibrate the controller
-Connect on the receiver + white button to pair the two
-Attempting to pair to other receivers

The controller is in physically good shape all-around. I'm completely perplexed as to why it won't work.
