Everyone is turning 46 on new years day?
for the last few days the birthday wished at the bottom of the forum have all been saying multiple birthday wishes and everyone is 46 years old well the vast majority of them anyway.
yesterday there was nine people all turning 46 seems a bit weird.
I guess those 1970 hippys getting giggy with it taking into account pregnancy time some time around march and a quick only reveals no major events
everyone is turning 46?

I noticed that too. I assumed it was just people picking the first day of the first month as it was quicker than putting their actual birthday. As for the year, I dunno, maybe 1970 is a year people are drawn to when making a fake birth date.

Re: everyone is turning 46?
There were certainly a lot of people born that day and most were indeed 46 year old. There were about as many but all different ages as well also. I was surprised not to see Jesus aged 2016 on the list though. Surely he would have a modded Xbox in Heaven or would that make him more suitable for hell. Well if owning a modded Xbox full of porn qualifies entry to hell, that's were I'm off to I guess. I imagine Jesus' modded Xbox would be full of those hymns sung in Sunday school with organ music in a playlist and some visualization with angels flying around. Not my taste I'm afraid. I like my heavy metal music with milkdrop visualization and surely that would be outlawed at the pearly gates so it looks like I'll be off to hell with my trusty Xbox under my arm. Get down there, power up the Xbox and we'll have a damn good party and best of all, no more cold. That place has central heating.

The Christian god is meant to be infinitely forgiving, so I reckon you'll be ok either way xman, plus the whole water into wine thing sounds like Jesus liked to party.
Of course the sheer number of gods humanity has believed in makes it seem unlikely any of them are true. Personally I like to think Terry Pratchett got it right in his Discworld series, where death reaps you and then takes you to whatever afterlife you believe in. Some people get reincarnated, atheists presumably cease to exist and agnostics get to choose.
I could talk for hours about religion, fascinating stuff

Re: everyone is turning 46?
Not turning 46 but am turning 40 next month, not quite sure what the implications of that will be but it has suddenly dawned on me that I'm no longer suited to 3-day drinking sessions - slept for 14 hours last night lol.

I didn't realize it but I'm one of the 46 year olds. Not sure why I chose 1970. Usually choose the earliest available or 69 or whatever catches my fancy.

1st January 1970 was the start of Unix time. That may well have a lot to do with it.
