[For Sale] 2x 128mb Xbox consoles (One 128mb Hynix setup!)
Hi,
got 2 128mb modded xbox consoles for sale right now.
One of them is a v1.1 with 128mb Smasung Ram, a Samsung DVD drive, a upgraded 80GB HDD with XBMC3.3.3 installed.
It is as allways tsop flashed with the Xecuter 2 4983.67 and in a good optical condition.
The secod one is a very seldom thing! A v1.0 with 128mb of Ram, the special thing is that it has 128mb Ram made by Hynix that is only found in the seldom xbox revision V1.6b. The original 64mb of Samsung ram have been desoldered and replaced with hynix Ram.
It has a stock 8gb HDD with XBMC3.3.3, a Philips DVD and is also tsop flashed with the Xecuter 2 4983.67.
I could sell both of them as board only or complete consoles. The shipping would be cheaper if you only want/need the board.
I could also supply another v1.1 or a v1.4 board with the upgraded 128mb Ram as i got a few finished right now.
The 128mb Samsung Ram console would be for sale for 50€ +shipping. Sold? --> Still no payment! If someone is interested let me know!
The 128mb Hynix Ram console would be for sale for 70€ +shipping.
The extra costs for the Hynix Ram console are for the big amount of soldering time and the seldom ram.
And keep in mind i only ever upgraded 2 consoles with 128mb of hynix Ram. And one of them will stay with me so this is most likely the only one for sale for a long time! And by the way the only one that has ever been for sale!
Here are a few pictures of the boards that show the Ram upgraded boards.
I didn't take shots of the whole consoles and show them working as i guess everyone of us knows how an xbox looks!

The hynix ram is said to be not as good as the samsung and using it with a 1.0-1.5 bios is basically overclocking it as the timing is dulled down in the 1.6b xbox.
Quite some time ago I did something simular and after a few months i got problems crashing and the ram eventually failed and I had to replace it.

As always, incredibly neat work. ...and incredibly high quality photos!

@professor_jonny:
That's not completely correct. The timtings should be the same as the Samsung ram is. At least that's what the datasheet indicates.
And the Hynix Ram was also the recommended replacement for the discontinued Samsung Ram. They don't mix well but if you have a full setup of the same sort your good to go.
The V1.6b does not have any special bios regarding the Ram at all. There was a change in the flash chip that contained the Bios but that was not(!) between the v1.6 and 1.6b revision. Calling them different revisions simply doesn't cut it. They used the Hynix Ram once the Samsung was run out. But i also got a few very late revision consoles with the never flash chip that still had the Samsung ram and vice versa.
But still i don't know which Ram would be the one to prefer. I just wanted to build a console using the Hynix Ram and stress tested it for a week (about 6-7 hours a day) and it didn't fail any test. So the hynix Ram is still the couriousity but i wouldn't call it worse than the Samsung!

Hi N64 freak ,
Is the XBOX with Hynix Ram always avaible? I'm very interesting. Can i put a 2to HDD in it with this bios (Xecuter 2 4983.67).
Best regards,
Arcam007

the 1.6b has a failsafe ram timings on bootup that were put into the 1.6b xbox there is a ram timing table in bios (2bl).
evoxm8 was the killer of a few 1.6 xboxes ram chips before the evoxm8 1.6 bios was out in the wild.

Hi,
Yes the xbox is still avaylable. It is the only one of them for sale though.
For a 2tb drive i would recommend the IND5003 bios as the xecuter2 that is installed has a known bug with big hdds.
I would install the ind5003 bios for you for free of course if you want the xbox. With the ind bios the 2tb hdd should be no problem to install. But you will of course still need a sata to ide adapter for it to work.

After reading different POST of you , i see that you sell things like that : "N64freak's 1GHZ xbox with 128MB and other things", it's a bit expensive for me.
In fact, i'm looking for an XBOX motherboard with 1GHZ and 128MB (rev 1.0->1.5). .If you sell things like that, i'll be very interesting.
Best regards,
Arcam007

@arcam007
Sorry but i don't have any 1ghz upgraded boards or consoles for sale right now.
Maybe in the near future again. I'm going to post them here on the marketplace if i upgrade a few more!

Geeba is correct there!
@Geeba: Don't worry i haven't forgotten that you are first in line
@arcam007: You are second in line!
BTW: I still haven't received Payment for the 128mb Xbox so if anybody serously wants it let me know!

I would love to purchase a ram only upgraded xbox as I do not own any xboxes. I do not want the CPU upgrade because of the lack of game compatibility.
How much are you selling for?

Do you mind citing a reference to the incompatible games?Henning_B wrote:I would love to purchase a ram only upgraded xbox as I do not own any xboxes. I do not want the CPU upgrade because of the lack of game compatibility.

Re: [For Sale] 2x 128mb Xbox consoles (One 128mb Hynix setup
Received my N64Freak's 1Ghz/128Mb modded xbox over the weekend - I cant recommend him enough, the work looks factory installed!!
He was kind enough to send the complete Xbox as well so I could fire it up straight away - on first impressions and running it next to a stock machine I can without doubt see its smoother and definitely feels like it has a bit more of a 'snap' response about it.
Not sure exactly what I'm going to do with it yet - this will probably be my last Xbox build.. probably a mixture of XBMC and Emulators running from SSD/Hybrid
Thanks again N64Freak

I had a hybrid 2.5" in one I sold and it worked perfectly.
I sold it in an xbox when I upgraded my laptop for an ssd.
