XBMC4Xbox

Hi,

I am BuZz - current developer of xbmc4xbox - "exobuzz" on the currently offline http://www.xbmc4xbox.org site.

Some Q/A for the situation:

What has Happened?

The http://www.xbmc4xbox.org site was hosted and managed by someone else. they have not been around since the end of May, and at the end of June, the site went offline for non payment. So far efforts to contact the admin have failed, and there has been no luck to bring it back online even temporarily as the hosting provider is only accepting payments from the account owner.

This was always my worry when not hosting the project myself, and when only one person has access to the system.

I am currently working on creating a new project site for xbmc4xbox - which this forum will be a part of. Once things are set up, I will give another trusted person full access to the system, to avoid this situation every happening again.

What about the old forum contents and Wiki

The forum does not seem to be cached anywhere, so I can't even get a list of the forum areas. The content is lost so long as the admin is not contactable, and the site is offline.

The Wiki content is available on some web archives still. We also might be able to get a dump of pages from the xbmc wiki (rolling back to the point before they added material not related to the xbox1)

So who was the owner of the old site? Craig? has he gone and just dumped it all?

Sooooo is there anyway we can contact the guys from the other site? Xman, Heimdall etc? do you thing xbmc.org would put something up for us... to be honest I looked there for info on what had happened....

That's a good point. I only found out about this forum after vising emuxtras. Heimdall is a font of all knowledge and would be badly missed.

Yep there so much talent we dont wanna loose! Dan, XBS, NOTTHESAME, xman, Hemidall and loads of others!.... would the site hosts not even fire us a list of the members?

I was just about to put something up on X-Scene but that is down too!

Goodaye boys, Dan's aware of the new forum. Heimdall I have no email address sorry. I have gone through my email lists and sent emails to members that may not be aware as I wasn't till Xphaser emailed me. Fingers crossed aye boys. Glad you got us up and running so quick Exo, big thank you sir. Hope we can recover our old data at some time. I know I kept all my data I put on the old forum backed up myself but shit, that was 2 years worth on that site. Still, if that can't be done, I do have the lot of my mods data, hardmod shit, bios data etc all here on my network if we require it duplicated here.
