XBMC4XBOX 3.2 Released
I am pleased to announce another release of XBMC4XBOX - v3.2
A number of bugs have been fixed, including a working fix for the lockups when using UPnP. There has been some significant performance improvements also, with the addition of the libjpeg-turbo library. Based on some code from XBMC, and some of our own, we now use this SIMD optimised library for decoding and thumbnailing JPEG images. The speed up is very noticeable - with navigating photos feeling at least twice as fast as before. XBMC4XBOX will now also use less memory when displaying and zooming in on images.
Release Includes:
* libjpeg-turbo support for images
* Fixed UPnP lockups
* Browse by Country support in movie library
* Scraper fixes
* Switch to Roboto font in Confluence skin
* Plenty of misc bugfixes and code backports from xbmc mainline
* Lots of code refactoring to better match upstream changes
Thanks to all those who helped out, including those who spent lots of time helping users on the forums. Thanks to http://xbmc.org for the support after we lost our previous hosting place (see previous news). And thanks for all the code of course
Hope you enjoy the release, and should you want to show your support, donations are always welcome - and much appreciated. We are also always on the look out for anyone who is able to contribute time and skills to the project, from the main code development to skins and python scripting.
You can download the latest version via torrent - XBMC4XBOX-3.2-STABLE.zip.torrent

Re: XBMC4XBOX 3.2 Released
Great stuff, I was experiencing some buffering issues with my network since the 3.1 stable, so will definitively check if this improves....
You keep the old girl running........
Do you advise a fresh install or can we move over the userdata folders with this release?

Re: XBMC4XBOX 3.2 Released STable?
well, I'm going to move away from that word really - I mean it is a release, I can't guarantee it's stable. most other software manages with version numbers and not the work "stable". its in the torrent name sure, but don't read too much into it. its a snapshot of trunk right now, before I do lots of stuff that will be work in progress.RoyalX wrote:Wanted to ask if it is stable.

Re: XBMC4XBOX 3.2 Released
it should upgrade from 3.1 to 3.2 in terms of databases at least. if it doesnt post a debug log and ill see. and if i missed something, then it will be a delete library and start again. hopefully I didn't.EFORCE wrote:Great stuff, I was experiencing some buffering issues with my network since the 3.1 stable, so will definitively check if this improves....

Re: XBMC4XBOX 3.2 Released
I shouldn't think it will. buffering issues point to : not enough data coming in quick enough or - codec can't be decoded quick enough (not enough cpu). did you post a debug log anywhere ?EFORCE wrote:Great stuff, I was experiencing some buffering issues with my network since the 3.1 stable, so will definitively check if this improves....

Well that will come in real handy for zooming on the trail cam pics. And the last build was already doing it better than the P.C.. Thanks!
I noticed subtitles now support colour tags!
Nice to see there's still stuff being improved.
