[Solved] black screen when clicking on programs, xbmc

Hey guys, I've got a tough one, I've been modding for a long time now, but this is a new problem to me, I've installed many harddrives, but this time when I click on programs within xbmc I get a black screen, same with videos and music, it doesn't do it with my 80 gig that I've had in there for years but my 120 gig it keeps doing it, I've used Xbox hard drive maker multiple times on it, and even redid the mod several times, could it be a motherboard issue????

Check your settings, maybe a resolution problem.

Thanks!! I'll fiddle with it more when I get off work, but I went through most of the settings, and it works fine with my 80 gig, just not my newer 120 gig, someone suggested using chimp to straight clone the drive

Is it a PAL box?
Is video set to output PAL-60...?

No, its NTSC, but it plays both of them. Also its softmodded, using ndure soft mod along with Xbox hard drive maker

Thanks for the suggestions!! I ended up using chimp to clone the drive instead, it worked

Turn debugging on, do what you need to do to re-create the problem, restart XBOX and upload Q:\xbmc.old.log for us to look at.

Is your skin updated and fully compatible and fully intact? Try another skin, see what happens

Hmmmm just built a new drive for my 1Ghz box and I'm geting the black screen in programs as well.... odd... plugins works ok... but Apps, emulators, games and scripts is just a blank page...

you need to set up the folders first before the shortcut links will work. add the sources to the programs folder (games emulators etc) and actually go into the folder the once. The shortcuts will now work
