Can I control XBMC4Xbox with XBMC Remote for Android

Hi guys

Can anyone tell me if I can use the Android remote app to control my xbox and if so how do I do it, so far I've downloaded the app onto my phone, added the ip address of the xbox and the port number etc,

on the Xbox I've allowed it to controlled by http but when I try to connect the app is telling me to enable the webserver however I can see no option to enable webserver anywhere in network settings

I tested it on a Windows PC running XBMC which give me the option to enable the webserver in network settings and it works perfect but the Xbox version doesn't give me that option anywhere

Any help anyone can offer me would be much appreciated

Are you using Dans XBMC4Xbox remote app or the official XBMC one? For Xbox you want to use the one DanDar3 made, details are on the forum and it can be downloaded from the Play Store.

See this on how to enable the Web Server in XBMC4Xbox. Note when that default HTTP port in XBMC4Xbox is 80 where in XBMC might be 8080.

I had the official XBMC Remote installed from the play store but I've now installed XBMC4XBOX Remote from your link as you both suggested, I'll try to set it up when I get home from work this evening and post back the results

If can trouble you guys a little more, I have an old tablet running Android Froyo v2.2 I never use it because the display is crap and it's not up to much, so I thought I would dedicate it as an Xbox remote but I can't find xbmc4xbox remote in the play store (probably because it's an old version of android) I did find a version of xbmc remote which actually worked fine but it doesn't have the features I need such as play entire albums, party mode etc, is there any way I can get xbmc4xbox remote on this device ?

If you follow it, you will see in there it has links for both Google Play:

and direct APK download (for non-Google Play devices). The app supports devices running Android 2.1 and later.
