A long time ago I was told how to ftp files across the my xbox the fastest way.
My xbox has a hard MOD.
500 GB hard drive
It boots into Evox and in applications I have:-
XBMC
DVD2XBOX media copier
DVD Movie Player
Xbox file explorer
Avalaunch
Enigmah Switchdisc
Linux
UnleashX
I know I have to run one of the above programmes for a faster transfer but I can't remember.
Help
Thanks

ftp files what is the fastest way?
Re: ftp files what is the fastest way?
I am using FlashFXP.
Do you have to do anything in unleash X or do you just have to start it?
Just that I have been doing this but no matter what I do some files will not transfer.
My fastest wired is 5MBPS

Re: ftp files what is the fastest way?
I personally prefer FileZilla, it's basically the same to use as FlashFXP but it's free and I find it more reliable.
I've just done a full guide on how to get the best speeds here

Re: ftp files what is the fastest way?
I use fireftp it's a firefox plugin.
If i'm ftp'in a game or xbmc build I'll use an ethernet cable connected directly to pc. If it's something small like a xbmc plugin or emulator game i'll send it using my xbox's wi-fi adapter via home network.
Ethernet cable is the fastest.
*Also you can bridge your windows pc's wireless adapter and ethernet cards by going to network connections highlighting both wi-fi and eathernet then right clicking and select bridge.
