This is who Ldots is. He created xboxhdm which has been a life saver for many softmodders (myself included). This also gave me the ability to upgrade dozens of xbox hdd's without ever seeing a chip or doing a TSOP.

He also created the first softmod installer. At a time when softmodding was pretty confusing. It was quickly replaced by better ones inspired by his.

Yup, my nick is derived from ldots :)
Can't believe I forgot UDE, UXE, Frosted and especially Metoo. If I had a "fan" name it would be rmenhalfan.

Is virtual cdrom what you were thinking of? Is that the only thing backported?

It's Ldots. I think the L referred to Linux.

Loads and loads. Only two (v1.6) hardmods with a Xecutor 2.6. Half a dozen v1.2-1.4 all TSOP flashed. About 20 v1.6 softmods (Formerly using AID, latterly using HeXEn).

v1.4 TSOP, Evox M8 BIOS no flubber, 500gig Seagate Barracuda, takes 9~11secs to get to XBMC splash.

I just built a box with this... Seagate Momentus XT SSHD drive, its a Hybrid with 4gb of Nand thats supposed to give SSD type performance.... :D

Tested it on HD Tune Pro through the SATA -> IDE adapter and it was pushing on average 94.4MB/s - it should get faster as the drive learns... but of course restricted by IDE in the Xbox.

It was going well... drive was in and working well... very cool, very quiet and Very fast! - but the drive Fragged and I RMA'd it this morning :(
