Question about games on xbmc: Why is this?

Hello
I think I found a bug or something.
I want to play the pal version of egg mania: eggstreme madness.
The game is pal only. So I used the option in xbmc programs that I can choose the region( pal, pal 60, ntsc etc).
I´ve selected Pal and I can only hear the game sound + a black screen.
This was on a Xbox 1.0 with aladin modchip & evox Bios.
Then I put the harddrive into an other xbox (xbox 1.1 with TSOP Flash and x2 bios from hexen disc)
and tried it again (same settings)- and it worked.
So my question is: Why is this? Has this something to do with the bios?
Or is this because of the xbox version?

It probably is your modchip / BIOS.
This is probably not that much related to XBMC4Xbox - you can use another dash to confirm that it doesn't work either way.

Have u tried running the game from a different dashboard I had chicken little wouldn't run using xbmc but worked using unleashx. I've found some games are just not xbox hdd friendly hope that helps

NO, but I will try it out.
The point is that the game is running correctly but only on the Xbox with X2 Bios.
Thats what I dont understand.
Why this option in XBMC (that you can select how to run the game...Pal Pal60 NTSC ...) works with the Xbox with X2 Bios but not with the Xbox with Evox Bios for the game.
I took the HDD out from Xbox with Evox Bios and put it into the Xbox with X2 Bios.
I chnged nothing - all the same settings. Game works perfect.
Then put the HDD back in Xbox with Evox Bios - only sound + black screen.
I´m a big fan of XBMC and I use it since years and never had problems...This is the first and only one.

Haven't seen a policy reversal this extreme since the xbox one.

A couple of people already suggested this, have you tried running the game through another dashboard (e.g. UnleashX, etc)
Also, in your xbmc.old.log, just before it ends does it say something like?
"Rebooting to change resolution from ... back to ..."
@see if (g_guiSettings.GetBool("myprograms.gameautoregion")

It probably depends on the Kernel (BIOS) used - the code is a hack, might not work on all.

old code for ingame reset in the bios is it a evox m7 bios ?
