How come no one seems to know what an actual video converter is?

THIS IS JUST A RANT...
For over 20 actual minutes, I tried to find a way in handbrake to convert an MP4 to avi, before I finally gave up.
Articles like this one royally piss me off because it's nothing but an advertisement to sell UniConverter which if you don't buy the full version, you can only convert 1/3 of the video.

Here is another article that frosts my ass because it's also a blatant lie. It portrays handbrake as some great converter and it's not, because Handbrake only outputs .mp4 and nothing else.

Handbrake IS NOT a true video converter as the only file Handbrake outputs is .mp4 as shown in this picture:
I have a real video converter I got as a free download that allows me to convert anything from any size and codec into any size and codec.
I'm not sure why people throw around Handbrake as if it's some great convertor that can do anything.
