Forum areas and development

Post by BuZz »

note the look/feel of this forum is very much in development.

Do any of you have a browser cache of the front page of the now offline http://www.xbmc4xbox.org forum ? or remember the areas?

I would like to build up the forum in a way that would be easy to use.

I intend to have a few less forum areas than before, as I feel fewer areas make it easier to browse and read.

thanks. Ive added a couple of offtopic areas (xbox general and offtopic). I think ill leave it for now, and if we get lots of posts relating to a specific thing, consider splitting it up more then. a big empty forum with lots of areas doesn't always "take off" well from my past experience.

@ PressY4Pie
by X do you mean xman? Cause Xphazer and I speak with him all the time when hes not at the farm, soon as he logs on the TS server to chat I'm sure one of us are going to forward the link to him straight away and I just emailed whufclee as well just incase he didnt get the memo.

And I must say I strongly agree with the decision to keep the forum neat and clean for starters there Buzz, The original forum was so cluttered and full of cross/off topic posts that even though we urged new comers search first, I must admit that I didn't even like to search and advanced search for topics that became buried just to answer someones question, It was starting to get really bad. That said I'm liking and looking forward to this new (alternate) home of xbmc4xbox, Thanks for taking the time and initiative to bring us all back together :)

How come no skin section? What's really going on? I demand my own forum! Why is the skinning neglected? This are the questions I need answers for! :) LOL... just kidding on my own forum; being funny that's all.

Seriously, however, will you be adding the skins forum? would it be a good idea to add a "WIP Skins" sub? Just asking! Again BuZz, thanks for all your work in keeping the old girl alive! I am obidged! 8-)
