That's a Vantec IceberQ 4 (I know I bought one years ago to replace the whiny fan on an ATI Radeon 9600), have you tried contacting the manufacturer? or maybe see the Buy tag next to the product title on the product page. http://www.vantecusa.com/en/product/view_detail/96

Not sure where are you located, but these guys say the have it in stock.

Tried pulling the trigger on those from that website DanDar but when you hit check out it says Web Page Not Found so I'm guessing they're out of business. Sucks because the Pro version fits perfectly on the xbox motherboard.

Has anyone ever tried finding a Heatsink that matches the IceBerq 4 Pro? I mean just one that has the mounting points in the same spot? This cant have been the only VGA heatsink with that footprint can it?

I Might have found something I ordered it and going to test it out to see if it works or not.
also testing this on a trusty board because even with the iceberq i doubt it would keep the CPU cool enough

The heat sinks from older graphics cards fit nicely with minimal bodging. I think these were both from 7600GTs.

Links because the inserted pictures were huge.

A lot of cheap generic coolers from Chinese sites have 'universal fittings' which may fit.
example: http://www.dx.com/p/qqv6-aluminum-alloy ... 2cm-171715
I'm 99% sure that's the one I ended up not using here:

As you can see it was too big/tall for my micro but it may be ok for you?

Where did you find the Silver heatsink in this picture? http://s77.photobucket.com/user/jimmo_2 ... 3.jpg.html

I'm testing out the Evercool Cyclone VGA Cooler, but like I said I'm testing on a trusy board the cpu is really difficult to cool down.

It was also off a 7600GT, this one to be precise:

its under the white plastic.

The green one was off a card like this:

I'm not sure what the difference was, I suppose they were just different revisions.

Where abouts in the world are you? There's one on uk ebay going soon. Bare in mind you'd have to make some little clips to hold it on. If you're in the UK I could have a rummage through my heatsink box maybe fabricate something for you. Wouldn't be worth the postage outside the UK though.

The idea of using laptop heatsinks for a new xbox micro has been floating around in my head for years, I dunno if I'll ever get around to it though. The ones with the long pipes so you can have the fan away from the CPU/GPU, this sort of thing:
Image
Of course finding/making one the exact size and shape would be tricky.

Done, i'll let everyone know if I get a response out of them. I had used one of these in the past with good cooling results, I didnt however like the fact that there were no mounting points and had to use hot glue to secure it, but it worked.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6835150029

Not as flashy as the Iceberq but it worked.

EDIT: after doing a little homework we might be able to nail this down. The Iceberq's were meant for VGA cooling and i just pulled some compatible VGA card numbers off of the Vantec site and then did a google search for each VGA card with heatsink at the end of the search. I came up with quite a few options including this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product

The fan size is identical but no one seems to mention the heatsink dimensions. Since the mounting holes are supposed to match up this should work. It does however look thin and weak but you never know, since it's only 11$ i might buy and try.

@asbo
Damn so I have to basically scrounge off Video cards in order to get a good heat sink lol
I dont know about a laptop Heatsink thats too intense for me lol :P

@Nextelhalo
I ordered that Heat sink already I''m waiting for it in the mail, its the ever cool Cyclone. ill see how she goes.
I did like 3 days worth of searching for the right heat sinks that would fit the Xbox basically the dimensions between the screw holes is 79.7mm diameter (distance on angle) or any VGA Coolers Compatible with the following: GeForce 4Ti 4200, 4Ti 4400, 4Ti 600 GeForce FX 5600. there's also "if you want to Google search it" other VGA Coolers that are exact replicas of the Iceberq 4 and 4 Pro. Although only the 4 Pros work. but here are the brand names: as you notice they look exactly the same.

Spire CoolForce II CF202-NBL
Jetart JACSE1
Revoltec RS003

Edit: These heat sinks are just as hard to get as the Iceberq 4 Pros.

Having an actual brand name heatsink that matches the nvidia brand GPU in the Xbox is awesome. imagine someone just opening it and finding it looking like that in the inside :P I'm after the iceberq because of the led feature even though when the console is closed up you can't see it but if it doesn't keep it cool that's my next best option to replace the preinstalled heatsink that is on the trusty boards. Not against trusty work or anything. I'm just picky lol

Honestly NigelP, if your wanting to use an Iceberq 4 pro on a Trusty board (assuming 1.4GHZ) it will do a poor job, I would not even try it. When I used them on my slims that were standard speeds (not even 1.0GHZ) the temps were not that good. I used AS5 between the CPU and the Iceberq and temps were still higher than average, and that was with a good rear fan running at high speed pushing tons of air. I would look at a bigger solid copper heat sink and upgrade the rear fan and create a plastic duct to help air flow over the heat sink. See this thread, I know Philexile worked really hard on dropping his Trusty 1.4GHZ temps.

http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1581

Also, those LED's are cool but the face straight up so your right you really wont get much out of them however if you install them on a slimbox with a cleared jewel they provide tons of light through the jewel and will even put an XBOX logo on your ceiling.

Yeah Maybe you're right my second option was looking at this heatsink http://www.ebay.ca/itm/121409997330?_tr ... EBIDX%3AIT for the trusty board its copper with a built in fan. ill be using AS5 I have an order of that coming in too. I already have a custom LED fan 80mm that has 32.4 Airflow 2500 RPM.

I ran into that one as well while searching around, looks pretty cool but not sure. I still agree with Professor_Jonny with this one, http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-OEM-Dell-Po ... 2ed6454d39.

A big ass chunk of copper with a good amount of air flowing over it has to be a winner.

EDIT: got my heatsink/fan combo in yesterday. At a quick glance and from memory it looks smaller than the ICEBERQ 4 did and I'm almost positive the mounting holes will not fit. Going to attempt install tonight and I'll post some pics as I go along. Fingers crossed it lines up, even then we'll see how well it cools.

EDIT 08/12/15: no go on the Evercool heatsink. It's quite a bit smaller than the Iceberq4 pro, the mounting holes dont even get close. Xphazer was nice enough to measure out one of his Iceberq 4 Pro's for us and it came in at 80mm (3.1 inches) from hole to hole. These came in at like 2.4 inches hole to hole. One could probably get away with using hot glue to secure it but i wouldnt trust it, the sink is not heavy enough to put good pressure on the CPU. Back to the drawing board, there's got to be some of these Iceberq 4 Pro's around somewhere.

On a positive note, at least with the purchase you'll get 8 of those little adhesive heat sinks which are perfect for the RAM chips and the Audio chip.

Here is how another member on the boards did his Trusty 1.4 board. I think this is in the hands of Madmab now but not sure. Phil said it did a great job for him.

I'll have to pull apart my media centre and show you the heat sink I made.

I thought of doing something similar with my xbox as I did with my MCPc by using a side mount blower to blow sideways into the heat sink in stead of top down as conventionally you would as you gain a lot of surface area as the fan is not in the middle and then don't have problems with the fan being up against the hdd starving it for flow.

My MCPc only has one pcie slot wide between it and the case and my vid card would not fit as it was 2 slots wide.

So I fitted a heat sink milled off the top so it butted up against the case and milled a square hole out the back the same size as the blower from a laptop.
I used a blower to blow from the back over the top of the card and down along the fins using the case as the lid of the heat sink it worked a treat.

we have a pentograph at work designed for engraving I used it as a make shift mill, it is sort of like one of those scissor things with a suction cup we all had when we were kids that you traced one thing and it made it bigger on another bit of paper.

I could not have the fan on the card as it was basically sucking air squashed up against the case and we sort of have the same problem with the trusty Xbox as it is up against the hard disk caddy or hard disk.
