confluence lite question....how do I lower the search tab

HI all! I can do most anything I need to with all this, but recently Ive gotten stuck. I lowered the main menu bar (programs, video, music, ect) to the bottom of the screen by editing the "home.xml" but now the search tab just hangs in the middle of the screen.... can anyone point in the right direction as to which .xml life needs edited ect. Thanks
