Look good to me! A lot of infos, but I don't feel like its cluttered, it feel well organized to me.
My eyes are not "getting lost", the infos seem well categorized.

The only little thing that bug me if you want to know...
The "Search" tab is where I would personally prefer the "Home" one to be. But that's just me.

With regards to the "search", that will have to go away... I'll probably place a small icon at the top left corner along with the settings... not sure yet. I'll also be adding a big percent display on the "currently watching" section (whilst not focused). I'm still undecided if I should call it "Currently Watching", "Unfinished Movies" or something else... any ideas?

The weather section will be replaced with something else (can't think of what) if internet connection is not detected. I have friends that do not connect to the internet, it'd be a shame to waste that space. :/

Wow, not cluttered at all and looks fantastic!!! I like the idea of all that information on the front screen like that.

Not wanting to throw a spanner in the works but you may like this idea your pic gave me. How about the movies you have displayed, you click on any of them and it takes you to your movies...Music could have a few music titles again, you click on any of them and your in your music. Pictures could be the same. Pluggins the same etc then you can do away with the selection list at the top all together. Just a thought you pic gave me as I do like the way you have it laid out actually and just thought it would be a colorful way of having the selection bar with less clutter but retaining all the info and color while making all the tabs much easier to locate and activate because they are so much bigger.

looks nice i thought its cool, seems to keep your eyes focued and busy and makes seem like a super xbox menu style, i like it alot, nothing is never to cluttered, im always excited to try something different, good job

Looks pretty sweet man, a lot going on for sure but well laid out. I for one can appreciate the amount of thought and second guessing (not to mention the carpal tunnel treatment you might need after all of that coding) If you're really not sure, just make a simpler alternate home screen that is selectable from skin settings.

Btw, you might be interested in this little tool (been searching for something like this for awhile now), it cuts the gristle off the png's and leaves the meat. Ran my textures through this little thing and it cut away almost 1 mb of unnecessary blocks from my xpr...just thought you might try it if you were looking to save a little ram throughout the skin. Anyway, looks good buddy...nice work

@BuZz: This is not very 720p friendly so far; but then again, i'm just messing around for the moment... could potentially be optimized! 720p screenshots added to first post.

this might help explain better......
The area in blue is your movies. Click anywhere in the blue circle and you go to movies
The area in red could be your music and could have a small sample of your music covers. Click anywhere in the red and you go to your music.
The area in yellow could be your games and could have a small sample of your games covers. Click anywhere in the circle and you go to your games.
The area in green could be your pictures and could have a small sample of your pictures. Click anywhere in the circle and you go to your pictures.
The area in pink is now not needed. You could increase the number of "rectangular activation pads" up to 6 to cover all the subjects covered by the top list. This is what I meant.

Ah, makes perfect sense! That's way too easy and doable!

Would be very useful for small screens and the multitude of old people I prep machines for with aging eyes.
