XBMC4Xbox

I have my first Winbond chip I'm trying to flash. It's a v1.4. I'm using Hexen 2017 disc. I try the selection for winbond and it loads to Gentoox, however, the screen is messed up. It's grayed and looks like there is some kind of video problem. No controls respond like it's frozen (I'm using a OEM microsoft controller).

I used BiOS checker and my solder points are good. Any ideas why it would fail? It does so no matter which of the winbond bios I choose.

Havent used Hexen for a Winbond but you can always use the Raincoat flasher.

Thanks for the advice, but I did get it to work with Hexen.
I prefer Hexen b/c it's mostly stupid-proof

Solution: I was using a third party video cable with S-Video connected. I switched over to an original xbox and plugged in the RCA and BOOM, all is well. Just some sort of video output problem with the svideo I guess.

Glad you got it working. If you don't mind experimenting a bit, I'd like if you could try to launch XBlast OS Xbe version with that third party video cable. See if you have the same issue as with Gentoox Loader.
