x3CP LCD DIM with 100% brightness

I own a 1.0 xbox with a xecuter 3 control panel with LCD. I noticed the LCD screen is very dim, even with the brightness at 100% within xbmc.
What i want to know is if this a sign of the LCD going bad? if so, what can i replace it with?

Thats not due to the brightness. That is caused by the contrast dial on the modchip, you will need to open your xbox and spin the wheel the other dirrection.

I already had my xbox open as i was doing to maintenance by removing clock capacitor, removing old thermal paste on CPU & GPU and applying fresh arctic silver 5 compound. blew all the dust out with compressed air and cleaned mobo & GPU fan from a 1.0 xbox mobo. Cleaned both fans and was done with the cleaning.
I turned it on, walked over and looked more closely and saw there was indeed a wheel, which i had not noticed until you suggested i look for one. Its easy to miss, being its on the face of the chip, facing down toward the mobo.
When i turned the wheel, the text became bold again!
And i thought i needed to install a replacement.

You also wouldn't happen to have the 1st 2 dip switch button on a x3 control panel, would you?
