No picture on screen intermittent problem

Hi everyone, just recently when turning on my xbox I get no picture, its an intermittent problem. Power up the xbox I can hear it loading through dvd drive sequence, fan running, duox2 modchip blinking but no picture doesn't happen all the time. Have had xbox for 6 years now. Is the hdd on the way out, bad bios (x2 5035 V1.4) what are you thoughts??? thanks for your time
