Would this 250 GB Hitachi IDE drive lock with Chimp?

Here is the model #: HCS725025VLAT80

Anyone got experience with this drive? Does it lock in Chimp?

Yeah checked there. One guy says yes and another said no. I am also getting mixed reviews on whether this is lockable. By my experience, most Hitachi drives are lockable but I am not sure about this particular one. I am just wondering if anyone got any direct experience.

Not really but in my experience the compatibility chart is unreliable.
Every single IDE hard drive that I've tried to lock did lock, even when not on the chart, good luck mate.

Agreed. I've had some issues with SATA drives but never with IDE, regardless of what the chart may say.
