Xbox games on 360

Does anyone know if there is a way to move my Xbox game saves and dlc onto my 360? Maybe using a hard drive transfer cable from my computer?
My TV's component inputs are on the fritz, and it only work in 720p or higher. That's a problem because almost every Xbox game is in 480i or 480p, and the resolution changes from 720p when you start to play. My 360 on the other hand is working great with HDMI, and the benefit it has is outputting all of my games in 1080p (which looks pretty nice, although it's just an upconversion or scaling from what I can tell, I don't think it actually renders the games at a higher resolution).
Anyway, I realize that I could buy a component to HDMI converter, but using my 360 is the option that I would prefer at least at this point as my TV is out of HDMI inputs too (and yes I could also get a splitter, but still, wondering if this is possible).
From what I understand, the 360 can be modded to play homebrew games and apps, so xbmc should theoretically work on it, right?
Thanks guys!

use fatxplorer on the pc and pop your 360 hdd in the pc and load up the compatibility partition in content view.

you get a 30 day trial I believe.

then copy the e and t data in to the compatibility/xbox1 folder on the root of the content partition.

homebrew and emulators can run on the 360 but you need to mod it and you need a glitch chip to do it.

sorry no xbmc4xbox for the 360 except under Linux

How can other emulators work but not xbmc4xbox? Just not supported by the emulator?
I'm assuming that to run games off of the hard drive I'll need to mod it.
Does anyone know if the chihiro games work on this? Not sure if the extra ram the 360 has is available to the emulator.

Thanks for the info guys! Just need to get a hard drive transfer cable now. I'll update once I try it out.

Probably not. Not even all retail games work. I put Halo 2 on mine for another box to do Kai with before I had (12) more Xbox originals.

For this stuff you seek... Only on Xbox. :)

Well, I got all of my game saves loaded up and ready to go... And wouldn't you know, my 360 red ringed shortly after I started testing the stuff. :-\ time to find another solution

the red rings happens on Xboxes older than jaspers and it is almost guaranteed to happen, it still happens on the slims but usually only abused consoles and then it is very few.

I would go and buy a slim trinity or corona v1 they are the easiest to mod and your problems will be gone.

I have done a few poor mans fixes before with an oven and a heat gun and liquid flux.

I fixed this one about 5 years ago. It was my first 360. I guess I'm glad it lasted this long.
Can the new slims be modded? Like the Xbox 360 E or whatever it's called?

Basically all consoles can be modded with the rgh exploit except consoles before September 2008 and after September 2014.

There is exceptions to this but best to stick to a console manufactured between June 2010 and September 2014 as these are all moddable slim consoles.

I personally like the trinity consoles manufactured between June 2010 and August 2011 as they are the easiest to mod and they are easier to tune the glitch chip in.

The 4gb consoles from august 2010 to September 2014 are my second favourite as they have am emmc nand and are very quick to read and write the nand, and some of the earlier ones don't require a post adaptor which adds to the cost and complexity.

I have used every glitch chip on the market just about and I would get a x360ace v3 chip and use 15432's s-rgh v2 timing files along with the smc speed up for any slim console cheap and awesome results.

For the phat consoles rgh 1.2 is awesome and you can use a cheap matrix glitcher chip.

If you are looking for ease of use and install go buy a Team Xecuter CR4 XL works on all consoles but is a lot more expensive but it pays off if you are a beginner.

Thanks for all the info!! I'll keep that in mind if I decide to take the plunge into modding a 360.
To answer my question tho, it sounds like the answer is no, the new slims are not able to be modded.

No.

The corona v5 and v6 are both slim e and are the last modifiable consoles released and they stopped manufacture in September 2014, if the console comes with a 500gb hdd it likely is not moddable as they were released at the same time.

CR4XL Also has the added bonus of glitching any current dash and potentially all future dashes

The xbox360 boot loader was leaked that allows init of the console with out knowing the cpu key all chips are capable of this with out the double glitch hack (dgx) and it is unpatchable as far as I believe.
