just seeing if anyone has installed more then one hard drive successfully?
im just asking because i seen the xtender case with this in the info
X-Tender Case Extender comes with the following parts:
* Front Panel Extender with IDE switch Pcb
* 2 Side Panel extenders
* 1 Rear Extender
* 1 Long IDE cable with clips for 1 DVD drive and 3 Hard Drives
* 6 Wire Connector for Pc to Xbox motherboard connections
* 6 Long Screws (to place the current Xbox Case screws)
* 6 Extender “distance” Bolts
* 1 HD mounting panel (hold 2 drives)
* Various other screws to secure the HD mounting panel to the xbox, and the hd’s to the panel.
* 1 Manual
can Xbox support multiple hard drives?

Except when running Linux on it, your Xbox cannot use more than 1 HDD at a time.
The Xtender case mod allows you to install 3 HDD simultaneously but will only power 1 of those 3 at a time. It's just a hell lot more convenient as you can swap your Xbox HDD with the press of a button. You have to do this when the console is powered OFF.
The long IDE cable is custom made to ahev all 3 drives connected to the IDE bus at all time. The Xtender case switches power to the drive according to the switch setting above the front panel.
