How to flash Xenium OS v2.0.1 ?
How to flash Xenium OS v2.0.1 ?
I am not familiar with this modchip, therefore my question.
How can I flash this modchip?
I know I can do it with a installer disc, but then I don't know where (which bank) it flashed
I thought there should be an option in the Xenium OS menu. But it is not.
There are already 2 choices in the Launch Menu of the OS
One will launch with the EvoX bios (I think 512k)
and the other with X2 4983.06 256k bios.
The last one I want to flash/change, to install a 500GB HDD.
I did "add a new item" in the launch menu.
And chose Flash and then the X2 4983.67.bin file which I already had on the HDD.
But I still get the LBA48 warning info in XBpartitioner.
Which bios should I use?
It concerns a v1.0 xbox

Use X2_5035, the chips supports 512k so it should be good to go.

To keep things tidy and clean just keep it to one bios.

Re: How to flash Xenium OS v2.0.1 ?
Damn. I just reached 256GB and got data corruption.
How is this possible?
I did the 32kb format all for F: with XBpartitioner and I have these 2 bioses on the xbox:
Metoo-M8plus_16-06 (256k)
X2 5035 vOld (512k)
At fist I used only the Metoo-M8plus bios, but both bioses give me data corruption at the 256GB point
How is this possible, what did I forget?

Just because XbPt says 32k, doesn't mean it has clustered at 32k. Always check using the Evox method to confirm. Put a 10k file in the re-clustered drive and check it actually uses 32k to be absolutely sure all is good.

Come out of the corner FX, your info was clear enough that it was applicable to (and correct for(!)) drives 1TB and larger.fxmech wrote:You are using an F-only setup from what I read.
That means a 900GB+ partition... 64k clusters would be needed.

XBpartitioner 1.1 - LBA48 patch v3ldotsfan wrote:Which version of xbpartitioner is this?
Always have used this with my X2 & X3 XBOX with 500GB & 750GB, without any problem.
Here a pic from the net
For those who are wondering:
Cluster 16k up to 256GB
Cluster 32k 256GB - 512GB
Cluster 64k 512GB - 1 TB

Re: How to flash Xenium OS v2.0.1 ?
@ RoyalX, seeing as you checked using the EvoXDash method to check all I can think is for some reason the HDD didn't like it. Maybe try again but 1st go to equal F and G partitions, (hit the B button as XbPt 1.1 boots up), and then change it back to your desired, "All on F drive" setting. XbPt doesn't not allow redoing exactly what it has already done. I often change the partition size by just 1GB and re-cluster the drive and then reboot XbPt and get the 1GB back to get around this issue with XbPt but I figure it is easier just to hit the B button in your case seeing as you actually want just one drive.
Re: How to flash Xenium OS v2.0.1 ?
Thanks xman and Idotsfan for helping.
I've already checked the HDD with Hirens before using it in the XBOX. (maybe I will do it again)
I was thinking to split the HDD in F and G partitions to avoid the data corruption. As the only solution.
Cause the drop in cluster was right. And it is to much work to fill up the HDD to check if it goes pass the 256GB.
Or should I use XBpartitioner 1.3?
Or could it be the Bios?
Or if somebody is interested in this modchip?
What about the Xenium OS? I see some options there to format partition or drive upgrade wizard.
I did not use this for this HDD.
