Duplicate a HDD for a softmodded XBOX

Is there a better way to duplicate an entire HDD than just FTP?

Can I duplicate a entire HDD on a softmodded XBOX using CHIMP and just lock it using Chimp on another softmodded XBOX and boot that up? Will that work?

Is this the best way or are there better ways to do it on a PC?

Chimp is the easiest for a softmod, but it doesn't format large HDDs with the correct cluster sizes, so if your HDD is over 250GB then you can't clone the F & G partitions since they need formatting using XBPartitioner 1.3. (Well you can clone them but it would be a waste of time)

Under 250GB HDDs work great with Chimp, you can do a full clone of all partitions & everything will work.

As for locking them to specific Xbox's, you can clone it on one xbox & then load chimp on another & lock the HDD to that motherboard.

If you have an identical HDD (make and model) then I understand it can be done quite easily with HDD RAW Copy Tool.
