want to try and hotswap it to lock it again
problem computer has sata cables not ide
possible to use 2 in 1 IDE to SATA / SATA to IDE Converter Adapter

you say drives how many are there are they all unlocked?

you need to have the hdd lock key to lock the drive to a specific xbox and unless you have a backup or a means of getting the hdd key from the eprom you wont be able to lock it no mater what you do, but if you have one hdd that is locked and boots then you can hot swap from the xbox to lock it to that xbox.
i dont think you can pull the lock key from an unlocked hdd unless you made a back up on there somewhere.

Had you ever run config magic on this xbox?

2 xboxes 2 hdds the one i want to lock is 60g was working before but son made a balls trying to flash the bios seems the modchip is fried .
# i do have the back ups for the drives including the eeprom .etc ,password etc
