Composite cable for the Xbox, need new ones

I found out that my monster composite cable I was thinking of using with the 2 newest Xboxes is faulty, I get weird colors and I either way need one more. . Any tips what kind of cable to look for? Or is any of them ok?

After a quick search on ebay it seems like I mostly find cheap generic ones at an ok price, and monster and original HD kit for a bit too much

The cheap ones on eBay are trash.
Where are you located BTW?

I'm located in Norway. I feared the generic ones where sh**, but wanted it confirmed. Now I can regret that I did not buy more when you got those cables cheap......

The link don't work. The monster one got optical out too, and one non component monster. I also have another non component thingy with optical out.

(Not sure what the ones with yellow plug and audio is called)

BTW your link did not work. ImageImage

There I learned something new today. Never knew the correct term for the yellow one, we just call them video in Norwegian.

Good evening! What were you doing some ten years ago when you could easily get all these quality things new, at good price? Wasting money on RRoD 360s right? Your fault.

The RGB cable with the Scart plug you posted above , will it work with 720 ?
I was not aware of these cables , having only used the red / blue / green phono type ones before , i have just been given two of them and they do say RGB on them , they have optical out also , i didn't realise Scart carried HD ( I'm in the UK )

Nope, RGB SCART is SD only ie. 480i/60Hz or 576i/50Hz. It'll give you the best SD picture quality you'll get with the Xbox but only SD nonetheless.

If you're serious about PQ then a Component (YPrPb) cable is the only way to go - 480p beats 480i/576i every time.

There's actually no reason why RGB SCART couldn't have carried HD except for the problem that it wasn't in the original SCART specification. In a very few cases there was equipment made which carried YPbPr via SCART or adapters to similarly enabled TV SCART sockets but that was as rare as hens teeth even back then.

Thanks for the clarification :-) I've been given two brand new so might use them for smaller screens or CRT at some point .
