Problem copying games to HDD

I have an Axbox v1.6 with a SmartXX V3 chipmod, 500gb IDE HDD and running latest xbmc4xbox.
I have about 50 games in F and G partition, F folder is full so i'm using G partition when I copy games to my Xbox HDD.
The problem I have is that most games copied with dvd2xbox and transfer by FTP just shows up as empty folder even if the game copy was successful.
I'm wondering if my G partition is malfunct somehow?

could be mate, do they show up via ftp in the folders? i use a good program on the computer called gxiso i think its called basically does the same job as dvd4xbox only on the computer so that the files can be transferred over saving uite abit of time copying it directly from the disk drive.

Just checked the folders from my FTP client on my PC and they are empty there too but the copied games have eaten away on the diskpace on that partition (G:\)

Your Xbox hdd might have the wrong cluster size , it happened to me once

Ok, means I have to back everything up and reformat with the right cluster size?
Which is the best app to do this with?

Installed this harddrive 6-7 years ago and can't remember what I did and not did

You will need XBPartitioner
