Can anybody please tell me what are those two chips next to IDE connector on the motherboard? I marked them with the red and green arrows. I am asking just because I think that the air flow in this area is not very strong and if you start replacing the original IDE cable with something else, the space gets even tighter... Probably not a problem at all just asking...

That must be a V1.6 motherboard(xcalibur video chip), I've not looked inside a V1.6 for a while but that looks different from what I remember. I think the red arrow is probably something to do with the Ethernet and the green the non-erasable BIOS chip(EPROM?).

No heat issues with either of those chips. You can completely cover them if you want, they don't run hot nor need cooling.
