odd fragging

I have a 1.3 unit with a 2.6CE soldered in, flashed with x2 5035 bios. It frags about half the time when booting from 5035 or bank 2 which is unflashed. If I shut it off and boot from MS then reboot from the chip, it suddenly works again.

Any ideas why it does this?
