where and how do i ftp games i have 250 xbox games if u put them all on root allot of them wil fail to transfer wierd symbols etc
i tried making games 1 games 2 games 3 etc 1 file i put 50 games in them same thing 3 games have wierd symbols
is this because xbox file limit
i have seen people with 150+ games all on root ??? how is that possible

What do you mean on root?

Games go in E:\Games\, F:\Games\ or G:\Games\

Yes it's possible to have over 150, infact you can have up to 240 games in one folder.

(there is a 240 folders limit for a root folder. So as an example, "F:\Games\" you can have 240 folders in that folder. So that's 240 games in "F:\Games\" max. Basically every folder can only have 240 folders total, it ends up a lot of folders )

So you will need to make 2 Games folders, if you have 1 large F partition "F:\Games1\" & "F:\Games2\" 240 games in Games1 folder & the last 10 in Games2 folder.
Or you can split them between partitions, have 240 in "F:\Games\" & the rest in "G:\Games\"
Both will work.

What application & dashboard are you using to FTP them over?

i have F: cojnops
G: games in put all my games in that file most of them wil not ftp and wierd symbols letters words etc
maybe the some games are coruppt
for ftp i use unleash x because its faster than xbmc
i use flashxp sometimes when i ftp games i get the messega directory not found ?
like a game 50cent i ftp the game open the file i see wierd symbols
maybe sata controller doesnt like large file ?
i have 2 tb hdd
yesterday i tried 80 games did not work 20 some would not ftp
oke today i tried 50 games 4 games would not ftp
i dont understand

Are you Softmodded or hardmodded, ie, a custom bios?

Also how did you format this 2TB drive? you should have 900+ on F & 900+ on G.

hardmod both are formate correct 100% shure of it
with correct cluster size etc
partions are the same i wil trie again tomorrow what you said wil let you know thanks for the help

stil wont ftp most games after ftping 120 games files started not to ftp anymore failed transfer both filezilla 64bit and flashxp makes no sense at all anymore
i have G:/games << xbox games i tried everything

its slower than xbmc but it work much better more stable maybe my problem is the sata to ide controller ?
doesnt like big files ??

dvd3xbox is super slow like kb/sec slow not even mb speed but so far it transfers better with filezilla

I have all my xbox games ripped with dvd2xbox and i ftp them using filezilla and running XBMC all the time, no issues so far.

I am glad dvd2xbox works good for you. I have used that for FTP transfers, and it works great

i like dvd2xbox too especially for those hard to find games which i couldn't download. I also use that gxiso program that lets you split it on the computer first then just ftp the files across, its saves so much time

i formated my hdd now used xb part 1.3 cluster size is 64 chekkend double ckekked with tex file
now iam installing dashb etc than i wil trie again to ftp
coinops 10.000+ games no problem ftping
xbox games at 150 games everything is oke when i go over 150 games files ftp but empty


there is a option in xbmc it says auto fatx limiter do i leave it on or off ???
is this maybe what causing the problems for me

leave it on to rename files to exclude unsupported characters an truncate excessive filename length

turning it off will result in such files failing to send.

yes 2tb iam 10000000% shure cluster is correct i trippled chekked
hdd is working perfect no problems
iam ftping games now so far no problems 100 games tranferd perfect i can see al games in xbmc all work no problems
going ftp another 50 games

How long did it take you transfer all of your games?
