Scroeffie,

How did you transfer 100 xbox games in 6 hours? How many GB was that?

What is your xbox/PC/network setup?

I transfered 60gb in just under 3 hours, but it sounds like your setup is faster.

not shure but i know that cat6a has more like roads for data to travel
cat 5a has 2 road cat 6a has i beleve 8 roads etc
do i have faster ftp speed no maybe 1 mb +- but cant hurt to upgrade also my internet is opticfiber not cable so
i upgraded my network to cat6a
max speed than i have seen with xbmc is 12mb with unleashed x its about 15-17 mb

if you have cat5 not cat5a i would upgrade to at least cat5a cables are cheap even cat 6a is cheap
payed like 3 a 4 euros vor 2 meter cable

also my transfer speed is better with my boxee box to my network drives with cat6a
we also have 3 laptops 2 pc's mediaplayer and a tablet sometimes the internet would disconnect because of the cat 5e cable could not handle the date
now we dont have any problems eveyting is stable

How many GB are all of these and how long did it take?

Looks like I need to drop FlashFXP and use FileZilla with some Cat6a cables...

remmember cat6a wil not give you a speed boost with ftp just more stable if you have more hardware in your house all turned on
if you have cat5 and not cat5e i would upgrade to cat6a cheap and worth it in the netherlands cables are cheap

I always use HeXEn disc to do TSOP flashing (and softmodding), and Slayer's to install the dashboard.

Is there a way with FileZilla to show how much time is left for the transfer queue? On of the reasons I use FlashFXP over FileZilla is because each file being transfered has a progress bar, and it had a total time remaining.

make sure you set maximum number of connections to 10 in UnleashX and restrict your ftp client to a max of 1 upload / 1 download simultaneously (max connections 2).

I never have problems, no matter the queue length.

I'm close to the 240 folder limit these days, good thing that came up before I ran into that limitation

Is there any advantage to using UnleashX as an FTP client? I am so used to dvd2xbox and FlashFXP

No...

You're confusing terms between client and server. Just think of the Xbox as the server, and anything else you connect to the Xbox a client.

There might be a better answer to your question if it weren't a confusing one

I do all of the above! I like to change my mind a lot, but honestly no... I don't normally go box to box directly aside from game save transfers from room to room in my house.

I have 3 routers, one per floor, the bottom 2 floors are wirelessly connected via a single WiFi 300n/5ghz router set to client bridged mode. Basically I have a lot of potential for slowdowns, but using my typical setup (UnleashX+FileZilla setup as already described) I get a solid 7MB/s from top level to basement. It is really not necessary to do anything other than get it connected properly over a wire be it crossover or a switch/router.

Speaking of properly setting up the network - do you have any understanding of how your router is set up? I've seen some pesky internal firewall and QoS stuff that people aren't aware of sometimes.

Don't worry though, 11-12MB/s is all the juice you'll get out of it. It may be possible to squeeze a little more but it's more work than I see worth doing.
