Fatx Memory Card Formatter

Is there a way to format a flash drive or memory card without using the MSdash? Once I get my media formatted I assume I can just FTP softmod files onto the storage medium for future work on Xbox consoles.

The best way to do this I guess is to do a full format not quick with just FAT not FAT32 selected and unplug the USB stick or PSP in my case before it finishes formatting and plug it into your Xbox with the proper cable, then the Xbox will fix the memory unit.

Xplorer360 can do it on a pc.
