Unpacked its 64G and not much less when compressed. I had the same problem with UG but i managed to get CO5 before they cancelled my account .

I'll look into uploading the torrent with everything I have but it's probably going to be about 150gb excluding any xbox stuff.

Hmmm.... I do have a 160gb lappy drive that I had earmarked for something else, however that project still hasn't got off the ground so maybe that's what I'll do. Once I get the time I'll find the hdd and see if I can fit everything on it and maybe we can look into sharing it.

Sorry... I wasn't trying to "promulgate" anything. I suppose that I am in the wrong for participating in an already alluded subject.

But... (just checking our hypocrisy filters) Coinops is not open source*, and has, allegedly, built upon open source work done right here. And we've (at least, many of us have) bemoaned that right here, in these fora**. Do we really want to be complicit in promulgating that***..?

*that is to say, the source is not apparently freely available.
** the proper plural of forum. Didn't you know...? :-)
*** Lee, I'll PM you my address to send the hard disc. :-)

This is not Fora, it is a single forum with multiple threads.
Everyone in this thread is, or wants to be "complicit".

Just a quick update: I've just been searching through all my folders on the laptop and computer to find what addon packs I have for Coinops and I've copied them all into the correct directories of Coinops5 R4 and stuck them on a 120gb laptop hdd. It comes in at just over 100gb without the added PCE_CD pack which I didn't bother getting as it's 40gb and I personally don't think those games are that great (not worthy of 40gb imho, and that's rar'd no idea what it is uncompressed).

The options are this: I could add the PCE_CD pack and RAR everything up, MAYBE it might just fit on but I doubt it. OR I could leave it all uncompressed which obviously makes it a lot easier to copy over to the xbox and add the ~9gb PSX video pack which means you'll have all the PSX vids so you can add your favourite playstation games easily. Oh and before anyone asks - no this hdd doesn't include every PSX game, only a few favourites are included. I have the full PSx collection on my arcade system and it comes in at 434gb COMPRESSED!

So just got to stick a large hdd in one of my xboxes, ftp it over and make sure everything is working as it should and then it's ready. I guess we'll start off by sharing it around the UK and then work our way around the globe until the HDD dies! Thoughts anyone?

I'll ask an obvious question no on else has yet. Why not invest (donations from people who want the pack) in a few flash drives and ship them. They are cheap, reliable, cheap postage and not as susceptible to breakage due to shipping.

That is a great plan mrdally. Well I have the laptop HDD done but once in it's enclosure (when it arrives) it will probably work out expensive to ship abroad. In the UK it's ok as we can use Collect+ which is only about £3.50 but I imagine once you factor in the amount of packing that will be needed it's going to work out a fair bit to send overseas. Just waiting on the USB enclosure to arrive and it will be sent to the first person on my list ;)

IMHO usenet is the way to go when sharing something of this size. Just be sure to create plenty of parity files. Much more efficient than torrents. Upload it once and anyone with an account can down it a maximum speed.
