The new Pi now packs a quad core processor and 1gig of ram, should be better running xbmc now i think.

I put it on my list but the boss surely will make me put my Xbox away. Until I convince her otherwise, the Xbox stays.

Not as a replacement but as an alternative such as mounting behind a wall mounted TV or even an in-car system - i do still love the xbox.

Yup.
Quad core ARM are great. And all the pi accessories will still work!
