PM's stuck in OutBox?

Are PM's disabled on this board, or are a minimum number of forum posts required to be able to send PM's to other board members? I've tried sending PM's but they sit in my OutBox after I compose them and hit the "send" button. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

That mean they haven't been opened by the receiver yet.

And just in case, be aware of the forum rules. Do not send PMs for support.

So PM's I send will be placed in the OutBox until they are opened by the recipient, but they have actually been sent?

And once the PM's in the OutBox are opened by the recipient, they are then moved to the Sent folder, which confirms they were opened by the recipient?
