Need help!! With my Xbox

Hello everyone, I just found an original Xbox but when I turned it on after the xbox logo animation apears a black screen with white and yellow stripes what you all think of it it will work.

No I think the console was softmod and maybe the previous owner brick it, so I would like to know if there is a way to fix it.

First try to run a game disc: if it will run you are safe, you can use a recovery disc (like hexen) and try to install another dash.

^ Yes, but it should be cold booted.

The disc must be burned (preferably using ImgBurn) to DVD-R, the only universal Xbox compatible media.

The fact you can see the boot up animation is an encouraging sign ie. there is video output.

BTW make sure to use a SD only cable ie. AV Composite. There can be display issues when using a Component cable depending on the softmod, assuming that is what it is.

Hope it is just a missing dash.
